From 25-27 November The Academy of Urbanism and RIBA Trust, in association with the exhibition
Le Corbusier – the Art of Architecture and the 2009 Urbanism Awards, will host Towards a New Urbanism
– an International Symposium on the 21st century City.
This two-day symposium explores new thinking within urbanism and urban design, defining the challenges
for 21st Century cities. With talks, debates and study tours highlights include the debate Corb: Hero or villain?,
the Urbanism Awards, a study tour of the new Liverpool 1 and speakers including Wayne Hemmingway
and RIBA President Sunand Prasad and Nick Johnson from Urban Splash.
