INFORMATION

Manuel Cerdá Pérez, 39, architect, was born in Valencia and was graduated in 1993 at ETSAV. since 1999
founds MCP ARQUITECTURA.

Our firm grows with the collaboration of several young external collaborators, architects, artists, students,
planners, landscape architects, integrating all their efforts into a common sense:

Architecture is an art and a important part of culture and society. The whole world of acknowledgement is
flowing into our way of thinking. No only architecture. Culture in all its contemporary manifestations is involved
into our analysis to give to society a certain and radical answer.

INSPIRATION

One of the keys of our work is residential projects. Investigation about the evolution of domestic space linked
with a new contemporary freedom in changing ways of living.

World of housing is our laboratory of Flexibility and versatility to plan, built and prove our ideas, far from
classical ones and make them possible to be used in larger scale projects.

We are interested in concepts as limit, frontier, perimeter and border and how they can be treated as full
spaces, full of life. Filters, sequences, transitions between inside and outside, generated with new treatments
of light and materials, looking for new technical solutions.

INNOVATION

We propose the idea of ubiquous space and architecture, defending the idea of a new era of functionality,
depending of the aims of every single person. Not more an universal space. We think in a individual, particular
space, linked with the individuality of our society.

Not more free plan. We say ubiquous plan. Function is all that a person wants to do in a space. Is not
pre-defined. Space is ubiquous, waiting for uses of people, waiting for their desires ...

We think in a catalogue-architecture, a system-architecture where people can decide its own spaces, its own
life developing several housing systems with spatial and structural cells to give a large chart of combinatory
types for new housing buildings .
