PUNTA BALLENA II HOUSE

Punta Ballena II is a private residence located on a steep slope looking on to the Atlantic Ocean with
a very nice and up to date architectural language.

Backed by small forest, its grading spaces are generated as a sequence of closed and open areas
flowing to the magnificent view. Even top roof is part of the set of terraces and stages interconnecting
internal a external areas.

Taking advantage of the slope, all rooms and terraces are the result of a wise combination of intersecting
volumes that make the limits very subtle.

The surface treatment and details are a designed in a nice contemporary language which caused a lot
of positive comments and publications. But for our way of thinking architecture is nothing to be proud of,
but the natural effect of designing and living in your own cultural context. That’s why we try to focus
on more permanent values such as proportion, connections, human scale, light and others that you can
see once you scratch on the first layer of the language.
